Mini Canvas Painting – Boat on a Beach

It was a lovely summer evening at a seafront in Malta near Italy. During my visit to a village there, I saw colorful fishing boats kissing the shoreline. The splendid view was a reflection of the vibrant culture and people of Malta. It had to go on my canvas!

I thought of creating a miniature canvas painting that would sit beautifully on a work table or a shelf. The idea was to create an artifact that acts as a conversation starter during a meeting or a social gathering.

I’ve used acrylic paint and then varnished it for long-term protection. The varnish also spruces up the painting by rendering a glossy touch. I’ve used a red wine bottle cork as the boat’s anchor to give a realistic 3D effect. Finally, I’ve kept the canvas board on a wooden easel that’ll accompany it.

Isn’t it a mini perfection? Wouldn’t you want to own it?
