₹2,200It was a lovely summer evening at a seafront in Malta near Italy. During my visit to a village there, I saw colorful fishing boats kissing the shoreline. The splendid view was a reflection of the vibrant culture and people of Malta. It had to go on my canvas!
I thought of creating a miniature canvas painting that would sit beautifully on a work table or a shelf. The idea was to create an artifact that acts as a conversation starter during a meeting or a social gathering.
I’ve used acrylic paint and then varnished it for long-term protection. The varnish also spruces up the painting by rendering a glossy touch. I’ve used a red wine bottle cork as the boat’s anchor to give a realistic 3D effect. Finally, I’ve kept the canvas board on a wooden easel that’ll accompany it.
Isn’t it a mini perfection? Wouldn’t you want to own it?

₹1,800The first time I ever saw a flamboyance of flamingos was at the Flamingo hotel in Las Vegas. These cute pink birds stood on one leg as I watched them for hours.
So back in Mumbai, I decided to visit Navi Mumbai where these migratory birds flock every year during a particular period. However, I was really disappointed because I was a bit late in visiting this place. So I thought of making a cute flamingo painting which can be kept on a side table or a desk. These beautiful birds have made me realize that life is about balancing on one leg…because we don’t always land on both our feet.

₹1,500It was a cold sunny day as I made my way along with my family through the scenic Yellowstone National Park comprising of lakes, canyons, rivers and mountain ranges. It was a treat to the eyes as we watched the natural colorful rocks that are formed due to the lava flowing out of volcanic eruptions.
But a bigger treat to the eyes was awaiting as the night fell and we walked out of our wooden lodge. The night was clear and crisp, and the sky was full of millions of stars. We witnessed a dazzling display of constellations and the Milky way! It was one of the best sights we had ever seen in our lives. We could sit through the entire night and observe this stunning view with a feeling of the stars falling on us.
My mini galaxy painting is inspired from the starry sky we witnessed at Yellowstone. It is made using acrylic paints on canvas and varnished with a glossy protection. It comes with an easel.
